Terms and Conditions

Awesome Home Tuition only provides referrals to customers for tuition services. Any service that Awesome Home Tuition or the private tutor provides is subjected to the terms and conditions listed below. By using the services of Awesome Home Tuition, the customer has to acknowledge and accept our terms and conditions.

FOR Parents/Students

Service

Awesome Home Tuition Agency cannot guarantee that the tutor will help to improve the results of the student. We believe that both parties must put in equal effort to benefit from our service. We will not be held responsible for poor academic results. However, we guarantee to do the best on our part to help the student.

Contract

There is no contract involved, but you can request for a change of tutor or a refund after the first lesson if necessary. However, the tutor upon agreeing to take the assignment has to complete the minimum of 4 lessons without changing the rates or schedule. After the 4 lessons, the tutor is allowed to terminate the assignment. As much as we discourage them to do so, kindly inform us should such a situation occur and we will take the necessary actions.

Rates and Schedule

The tuition rates will be quoted to you by our coordinators. These rates are strictly non-negotiable. Kindly inform us immediately should the tutor try to negotiate a better rate for you. This is unacceptable by Awesome Home Tuition Agency and severe actions will be taken.

Payments

You are required to pay 50% of the first month’s fee to us via bank transfer or cheque before commencing the tuition. Awesome Home Tuition Agency reserves the rights to terminate any assignment should we not receive the payment at least 48 hours in advance before the commencement date.

The tutor will not be allowed to collect the payment on our behalf unless otherwise stated. If you insist on making payment directly to the tutor on the first lesson and the tutor decides to default the payment, you will be held liable for your losses. Awesome Home Tuition Agency will not be held liable for any confusion or inconvenience caused between you and the tutor. We strongly encourage you to keep the receipt or transaction numbers as evidence that you have made the payment. This will help us in verifying your payment.

We do not offer any trial lessons. However, if you feel that the tutor is unsuitable after only the first lesson, you may request for a change of tutor or a refund. You are required to pay the tuition fees directly to the tutor directly upon completing the required number of lessons within the first month.

Location

It will be held at the customer’s residence. However, if you prefer it to be held at your relative or friend’s place, it can be arranged as long as the location is available. We will not be held liable if the given location is occupied or unable to be used and it will still be counted as a paid lesson. Should you wish for it to be held at the tutor’s residence, it will be subject to the approval of the tutor.

First Lesson

Once you have accepted the tutor assigned to your assignment, you will not be allow to change the schedule of the first lesson unless for urgent cases (e.g. student is seriously ill). However you will be required to inform us in advance so that we can make the necessary arrangements. Kindly check the NRIC and qualifications of the tutor on the first lesson.

Cancellation and Postponement

You will be only allowed to make changes to the tuition schedule after the first lesson. However, we do not recommend you to do so as the tutor has already reserved that slot for you. If you would like to make changes, you would need to liaise directly with the tutor.

Responsibility

We will not be held responsible for any claims arising out of any injury, damage or loss while attending home tuition and this includes all cost, and expenses incurred as a result of such claims.

FOR Home Tutors

Registration

To qualify as a tutor of Awesome Home Tuition Agency, you are required to be at least 18 years old with a minimum 'O' Level qualification residing in Singapore. You will need to provide a copy of your qualifications when required. Awesome Home Tuition Agency reserves the rights to reject any applicants.

Assignments

Tuition assignments from our customers will be forward to you via SMS or over the phone. By agreeing to our terms and conditions, you allow us to send you assignments any time. If you are keen on the assignment, you can SMS or give us a call. Please note that it will be on a first come, first serve basis. If you are not interested in the assignment, kindly ignore our SMS.

Upon accepting the assignment, you are required to commit for at least 4 weeks of lessons. You will not be allowed to cancel the assignment till you have completed 4 full weeks of lessons. However, the customers and us, reserve the rights to terminate the assignment at any time should we deem it as unfitting. We strongly discourage any postponement or cancellation of lessons and assignments. Awesome Home Tuition will monitor each tutor strictly and filter out those that are not responsible or credible.

First impressions are very important as it shows your commitment to us and the student. Therefore, the first lesson of each assignment is crucial and we do not encourage any changes or cancellations. However, if you really need to change the schedule for the first lesson, you are required to liaise directly with the customer and inform us after that. You are required to give the customer a call the day before the first lesson to re-confirm the necessary details. You will need to bring along your NRIC and certificates on the first lesson if requested by the customer.

Commission

We will collect 50% of the tuition fees for 4 full weeks of given lessons from the customer as referral fees directly via bank transfer. However, should we require your help in collecting the fees from the customer, you will need to do so and make the transfer to us. You may start collecting your tuition fees upon completing the required number of lessons within the first month. Should the customer decide to stop after 2 lessons; you will be compensated with 1 lesson. We will not be held liable for any unforeseen or uninformed changes.

Foul Play

We are aware of cases where tutors attempt to offer customers a more affordable rate and force an early termination of the assignment in order to earn a better commission. Such acts will not be tolerated and you will be held liable in compensating the losses of Awesome Home Tuition Agency. You will also be terminated from us with immediate effect.

Conduct and Customer's Complaints

Any feedbacks on complaints from customers on the tutor's conduct will be taken note of. You will be required to provide an explanation should we feel it to be necessary. Any tutors who receive numerous complaints will receive fewer assignments from us till we see improvements.

Intellectual Rights

The contents and graphics on Awesome Home Tuition Agency are protected by copyrights. All materials found on our website should not be used without any permission from us first.

We will not be held responsible for any inconvenience, loss or damage resulting from the use of this website.
